The 7 October announcement covers 16 regions, including Larkana, Karachi and Hyderabad.

A pathway for young players

PCB has announced Phase-I men’s age-group trials for U15, U17 and U19 players across 16 regions. The national programme includes Larkana, Karachi and Hyderabad, making the announcement relevant to aspiring players in Sindh.

Check your regional date before travelling

Trial dates vary by region and age category. PCB says Phase-I concludes on 21 October. Its announcement lists Lahore’s U15, U17 and U19 trials for 19, 20 and 21 October respectively; those dates must not be assumed to apply to other regions.

District Cricket Association coaches appointed by PCB will oversee the trials. Check the official regional schedule for the correct venue, eligibility and date before making arrangements. This article does not confirm a Sukkur district venue or trial time.

A practical checklist for families in Sindh

For a player travelling from Sukkur or another district, the first task is to match the age category to the correct regional entry in PCB’s notice. Do not choose a venue simply because it is the nearest city named in a social-media post. Save the official notice, write down the relevant date and venue, and recheck for changes before leaving home.

Confirm the birth-date eligibility and any document requirements with the organiser. “Under 15” is not enough information to establish eligibility: a season’s stated cut-off dates are what matter. Keep identity and age records ready if requested, but do not send photographs of personal documents to an unverified WhatsApp contact.

Preparing for the day

Ask about reporting time, the expected format of the trial and whether players should bring their own kit. Plan transport, water and a return journey with a parent or guardian where appropriate. These are preparation suggestions from Sportimeline, not additional PCB requirements.

Trial attendance, selection for a later phase and selection for a team are separate steps. Treat any promise of guaranteed selection cautiously and ask the official organiser to explain the process. If the notice does not resolve a question, confirm it before spending money on travel.
